SGL group launched a new composite material products

Germany SGL Group official website news said in October 5th that the company has recently launched a based on the carbon fiber and the glass fiber thermoplastic sheet (Thermoplastic Organic Sheets). In the recently held Composites Europe exhibition, SGL group showed for the first time with the one-way products and long fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites (LFRT) products. Soon after, SGL immediately started the production of the two products industrialization.

The production of single carbon fiber unidirectional orientation, can be matched with a variety of thermoplastic plastics. SGL Group also specially developed a 50K carbon fiber (SIGRAFIL & reg; C T50-4.0/240-T140), supplemented by appropriate sizing technology, reach and thermoplastic plastic perfect bonding, in order to achieve excellent mechanical properties.

LFRT products are used in granular form, thermoplastic plastics including PA, PPA etc.. SGL Group developed specialized 24K wire (SIGRAFIL & reg; C T24-4.8/240-T140) and 50K wire & reg; C SIGRAFIL T50-4.0/240-T140 coordination of production.

The advantages of two kinds of products that have high strength, high hardness and low density, and also show excellent resistance to chemical corrosion.

In this year's Composits Europe exhibition, SGL group showed by the two kinds of new production of auto parts.
